Don’t carry your burden by placing it on others. Bring it to Jesus. ‘Come to me… and I will give you rest.’ (Matthew 11:28)

When life becomes heavy, our first instinct is often to lighten the load by placing it on someone else. We blame, criticize, or withdraw because the weight of our own fears, failures, or wounds feels too much to bear.

Jesus offers another way.

He does not ask us to hide our burdens or transfer them to others. He invites us to bring them to Him. In His gentle and humble heart, we discover that the truth is never something to fear, because it is always met with mercy. Christ gives us the courage to acknowledge our weaknesses, seek forgiveness, and begin again.

The burden we surrender to Jesus no longer becomes a burden we impose on others. His grace frees us from the need to defend ourselves through blame and opens our hearts to peace, healing, and reconciliation.

Today, instead of placing your burden on someone else, place it into the hands of Christ. He alone can carry what is too heavy for you and give you the rest your heart longs for.
