A catcher does not create the pitch. He watches, waits, and keeps his glove open.
Perhaps faith is something like that.
We often think that knowing God depends on how much we understand, how hard we search, or how well we explain the mysteries of faith. But Jesus says that the Father reveals Himself to the βlittle onesββto those humble enough to receive.
God is not a truth we capture or a mystery we master. He is a gift who comes to us.
The catcher must remain attentive. He cannot close his glove too soon. In the same way, the heart must remain openβfree from the pride that thinks it already knows and the fear that refuses what God may give.
The Father reveals Himself not necessarily to those who know the most, but to those who know how to receive.
Grace is always coming. Faith keeps the heart open.
